The QED WM17 in-wall speaker selector switch is designed to provide flexibility and convenience in managing your home audio system.
This switch allows you to connect two pairs of speakers to a single amplifier, enabling you to select between the speakers or play both pairs simultaneously.
Ideal for setups such as kitchen and dining room, or kitchen and patio, the WM17 ensures your amplifier is protected and delivers optimal performance.
FEATURES
- Versatile Speaker Selection: Allows you to select between Speaker A, Speaker B, or both A + B, providing flexible audio management for different rooms or areas.
- Series Switching: Wired in series to protect your amplifier. When connecting two pairs of 8-ohm speakers, the amplifier will see 8 ohms with one pair in operation and 16 ohms when both pairs are playing.
- Lower Impedance Compatibility: Suitable for use with lower impedance speakers. For example, using two pairs of 6-ohm speakers with a 4-ohm stable amplifier will result in the amplifier seeing 6 ohms with one pair and 12 ohms with both pairs, preventing damage to the amplifier.
- High Power Handling: Can handle up to 150W per channel, making it compatible with powerful amplifiers and ensuring robust performance.
- Sonos and Ceiling Speaker System Compatibility: Works seamlessly with Sonos and other popular amplifiers, integrating effortlessly into your home audio setup.
- Compatible with WM14 Volume Control: Designed to work in conjunction with the QED WM14 volume control for enhanced audio management.
