Angled Ceiling Speakers

Angled ceiling speakers are designed to aim sound towards where you actually sit, rather than firing it straight down at the floor.

That directed delivery gives you noticeably better clarity and imaging, especially in rooms where the speakers can't sit directly over your seating.

They flush-mount into the ceiling like any in-ceiling speaker, just with the sound pointed where it matters most.

Angled Woofer or Pivoting Tweeter?

There are two ways a ceiling speaker directs its sound, and knowing the difference helps you choose well.

An angled or canted woofer tilts the whole driver, usually by around 15 to 30 degrees, so the entire output fires toward the listening position. This is the more thorough approach.

A pivoting tweeter keeps the woofer flat but lets you swivel just the tweeter to steer the higher frequencies. It is a flexible, popular option and easy to fine-tune after fitting.

When Angled Speakers Make the Difference

They come into their own in rooms with vaulted ceilings, open-plan layouts, or where seating sits off to one side rather than centrally.

Installation Considerations

Aim each speaker toward your main seating area, and allow enough ceiling void depth for the speaker body.

UK building regulations may require fire hoods for ceiling cutouts, and we recommend fitting them regardless to reinstate the fire barrier.
