The Audio-Technica AT-LP3XBT Bluetooth Turntable and Edifier R1700BT Active Speakers bundle is a complete vinyl hi-fi system for anyone who wants great sound straight out of the box, without the hassle of building a separate amplifier setup.

It's a step up from the entry level bundles in sound quality and upgradeability.

The AT-LP3XBT connects to the R1700BT wirelessly via Bluetooth, or wired via RCA - so you can choose your preferred connection depending on your setup. It features a higher-quality VM95 cartridge which can easily be upgraded and overall better build quality.

The Edifier R1700BT is a powered speaker pair with its own built-in amplifier, meaning no additional hi-fi equipment is needed. It's more powerful than the basic bundles with 66W of power resulting in better sound quality, and more volume.

Everything you need for a full vinyl listening system is here in one bundle and if you feel like upgrading in the future you can easily upgrade the stylus (VMN95E) or add an external phono stage (Phono Box MM) without breaking the bank.

No - the Edifier R1700BT speakers are powered active speakers with a built-in Class-D amplifier, so no external amp is required. Simply connect the AT-LP3XBT turntable to the R1700BT via Bluetooth or RCA and you have a complete, self-contained vinyl system.

Can I connect the AT-LP3XBT to the Edifier R1700BT wirelessly?

Does the AT-LP3XBT turntable have a built-in phono preamp?

Yes. The AT-LP3XBT includes a switchable phono/line preamp, so you can connect it to the Edifier R1700BT via RCA without needing a separate phono stage. Simply set the rear switch to "line" to enable it.

Can I upgrade the stylus on the AT-LP3XBT later?

Yes. The turntable ships with the AT-VM95C cartridge, which is compatible with the entire Audio-Technica VM95 stylus range. This means you can swap to an elliptical or higher-performance stylus at a later date without changing the cartridge body - a useful upgrade path as your interest in vinyl grows.

We typically recommend the VMN95E as a cheap and good step up, but there are a few higher end options available to you.

Another great upgrade is the Pro-Ject Phono Box MM external pre-amplifier - this improves the sound quality further as well as improving the volume.
