One amplified speaker connects to a passive partner via the included speaker cable, keeping your setup clean and flexible.

A comprehensive set of inputs lets you hook up virtually any source, from your TV and turntable to a laptop, CD player, or games console, while Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD means wireless streaming at up to 24-bit/48kHz from any compatible device.

Does the Q Acoustics M20 HD work with a turntable?

Yes, the M20 HD can be connected to a turntable via the stereo RCA phono inputs or the 3.5mm analogue jack - provided your turntable has a built-in phono preamp (or you use an external one).

The M20 does not include its own phono stage, so a turntable with a line-level output is required.

Do I need to wire both speakers together?

Yes, the two speakers in the M20 system connect via a speaker cable - a 4m cable is included in the box.

Only one speaker houses the amplifier and needs a mains connection, which gives you flexibility over placement.

A left/right switch means you can choose which speaker sits nearest to the power socket.

Can the Q Acoustics M20 HD be connected to a TV?

Yes. The M20 HD includes a Toslink optical digital input that accepts a signal from your TV's optical output, supporting up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Note that multi-channel or Dolby Digital audio cannot be decoded by the M20, so your TV should be set to output stereo PCM for best results.

Can I add a subwoofer to the M20 HD system?

Yes, the M20 HD has a dedicated RCA subwoofer output on the back of the amplified speaker.

The signal is fixed at 100Hz, so you will need a subwoofer with its own level and crossover controls to blend it to your preference.

What Bluetooth codecs does the Q Acoustics M20 HD support?

The M20 HD supports Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, aptX, aptX Low Latency, AAC, and SBC.
