The word "wireless" here refers to how you stream your music, not how the speaker is powered. Every active ceiling speaker still needs a mains power connection to work.

On a stereo pair, you get one active (master) speaker that contains the amplifier and one passive (slave) speaker. The two are joined by a short run of speaker cable, which is normally supplied in the box.
