Description
Description
The Monitor Audio WM-FH fire hood protects the opening left behind when a medium Creator Series in-wall speaker is recessed into a wall.
Walls that form part of a building's fire strategy lose some of that protection once an aperture is cut, and this hood is designed to reinstate it around the back of the speaker.
It goes in before the speaker, then disappears from view once the speaker is in place.
- Matched to Creator Series: Designed by Monitor Audio for its medium in-wall models, so you can specify speaker and fire hood as one system.
- Fire and Smoke Barrier: Helps stop the speaker opening from becoming a route for fire and smoke to spread.
- Quieter Next Door: Helps reduce sound transmission into the space behind the speaker.
- Improved Dynamics: The semi-sealed air volume it creates behind the speaker can contribute to better bass and dynamics.
- Meets Regulations: Designed to meet the relevant UK and EU building regulation requirements.

Our Thoughts On The Monitor Audio WM-FH Creator Series Medium In Wall Speaker Fire Hood (Each)
In-wall speakers give a lovely clean finish, but the hole you cut in the wall still needs thinking about, and the WM-FH is Monitor Audio's answer for its medium Creator Series models.
It reinstates the wall's fire protection around the back of the speaker and helps stop sound bleeding into the room on the other side.
The semi-sealed space it creates behind the speaker can also help bass and dynamics, so it is doing more than ticking a regulations box.
Pair one with each medium Creator Series in-wall speaker and the job is done properly.
