Firetopper Pro II - Acoustic Speaker Fire Hood

The Firetopper Pro II is designed to protect in-ceiling speakers while ensuring fire and acoustic safety. It fits 5–9” round speakers with cut-out sizes up to 300mm and complies with IEE and Building Regulations standards.

Its triple-layer design offers fire protection, reduces sound leakage, and improves thermal performance. Quick installation is ensured with a wide opening, pass-through cable gland, and fast-fix pins. The bold red colour enhances visibility for easy identification.

INSTALLATION

Installing these firetopper pro firehoods are simple, easy and can be done even after the speaker has been installed.

1. Measure your speaker with the firehood and cut the rim bigger if necessary (as shown in instructions)
2. Cut / poke a small hole in the firehood (In the side) in the correct location for the speaker wires
3. Put the hood through speaker hole in the ceiling recess
4. Feed wires through the hood
5. Use adhesive to glue the rim of the firehood to the rim of the inside of the speaker hole
6. Put the speaker back into the speaker hole so that the ceiling speaker dog ears (Speaker clamps) grip the hood and ceiling at the same time
