The Edifier R1700BT active bookshelf speakers deliver 66W RMS of room-filling sound in a classic wooden enclosure, with Bluetooth 5.1, dual RCA inputs, and a remote control included as standard.
Powered by a built-in Class-D amplifier with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Dynamic Range Control (DRC), the R1700BT is engineered to reproduce music accurately across the full frequency range.
Each speaker base is angled at 10 degrees, directing sound directly towards the listener for a more focused, natural stereo image.
- 66W RMS Total Output: Four driver units - two 4-inch mid-bass drivers and two 19mm silk dome tweeters - work together to fill a room with detailed, dynamic sound.
- Bluetooth 5.1: Stable, low-latency wireless streaming from any Bluetooth-enabled device, with a reliable connection up to 10 metres.
- Dual RCA Inputs: Two pairs of RCA inputs let you keep multiple sources permanently connected, with no need to unplug and switch cables.

Our Thoughts On The Edifier R1700BT Active Bookshelf Speakers with Bluetooth
The R1700BT sits in a sweet spot that not many speakers manage - genuinely capable sound at a price that doesn't require much deliberation.
Compared to the popular R1280DB, these are more powerful, louder and have an overall better sound quality at the same price.
The trade off is the lack of digital audio inputs, but if you're primary goal is to use them for Bluetooth, turntable and a CD player then these are the best speakers for the money!
