Anthem MRX 740 8K 11.2 Channel AV Receiver

The Anthem MRX 740 8K is an 11.2 channel AV receiver that sits at the heart of Anthem's MRX range, delivering a serious step up in power and flexibility. Seven built-in amplifier channels let you run a 7.2 or 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos system straight out of the box.

With 11.2 channel processing, you can expand to a 9.2.2 system by adding external amplification. Seven 8K HDMI 2.1 inputs, eARC, a dedicated Zone 2 HDMI output, Anthem's latest ARC Genesis room correction and built-in streaming make it a superb centrepiece for a cinema room or high-end living room system.

Its amplifier channels can also be reassigned to bi-amp your front speakers or power a second zone, so it adapts as your system grows.

Seven Channels of Anthem Power

Seven high-performance amplifier channels give you clean, effortless power for a 7.2 or 5.2.2 system. The main five channels deliver a conservative 140W each into 8 ohms (170W into 6 ohms), so demanding home cinema speakers stay controlled even at reference volumes.

Two subwoofer outputs make it easy to add a pair of subwoofers, while 11.2 channel pre-amp outputs let you expand with external amplification.

8K HDMI 2.1 for Movies & Gaming

Seven dedicated 8K HDMI inputs and two main outputs, including eARC, plus a dedicated Zone 2 HDMI output, pass through 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video with HDCP 2.3, so your 4K Blu-ray player, streaming box and games console all connect in one place.

HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG are all supported, along with VRR, ALLM and QFT for smooth, responsive gaming. eARC also lets your TV send high-quality audio, including Dolby Atmos, from its built-in apps back to the receiver.

Immersive Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Sound

The MRX 740 8K decodes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced soundtracks, placing every effect precisely around you. Run a 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos layout with two ceiling speakers straight out of the box, or add external amplification for a 9.2.2 system.

Premium 32-bit/768kHz DACs ensure everything from film soundtracks to hi-res music is reproduced with detail, dynamics and clarity.

ARC Genesis Room Correction

Your room has a huge effect on how your speakers sound. Anthem's award-winning ARC Genesis uses a precision calibration microphone and advanced algorithms to measure every speaker and subwoofer, then corrects frequency response, level and phase to fix room problems rather than mask them.

The latest version features a redesigned, more accurate microphone, and you can store up to four profiles for different listening setups.

Built-In Wireless Streaming

Stream music straight to the MRX 740 8K with Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth, with no extra streamer needed.

Hi-res FLAC, ALAC, WAV and DSD files are supported, and AirPlay 2 lets you group the receiver with other AirPlay speakers around your home for multi-room listening.

Flexible Amplifiers & Zone 2

Unused amplifier channels can be reassigned to bi-amp demanding front speakers, power presence speakers or drive a second zone, so you can put the power exactly where your system needs it.

With Zone 2 audio and a dedicated Zone 2 HDMI output, you can enjoy a different source in another room, ideal for a kitchen, bar or garden room.

Simple Setup with the Web Interface

Anthem's web interface lets you configure every setting from a browser on your phone, tablet or laptop, from speaker setup and levels to inputs and listening modes.

Up to 30 virtual inputs let you pair any video source with any audio input and speaker profile, so your system works exactly the way you want.

Ready for Custom Installation

With IP and RS-232 control, the MRX 740 8K integrates seamlessly with Control4, Savant, Crestron, URC, RTI and ELAN control systems, making it a dependable choice for custom installers.

An optional rackmount kit (sold separately) lets you fit it into a standard 19-inch AV rack in 4U of space.

Anthem Remote App

Control volume, inputs, listening modes and ARC from your phone with the free Anthem Remote app, or use the included remote control.

The 6-inch colour front display keeps volume and input information clear at a glance.
