Q Acoustics QI65EW 6.5" Outdoor Speakers

The Q Acoustics QI65EW is a weatherproof, wall-mounted passive speaker designed to deliver clear, powerful sound in gardens, patios, covered terraces and other indoor or outdoor spaces.

Its 6.5-inch polypropylene woofer and 1-inch aluminium dome tweeter provide a balanced sound with excellent vocal clarity and strong projection. The bass-reflex enclosure helps add weight to music, while the supplied adjustable mounting bracket allows the speaker to be directed towards the main listening area.

Important: These are passive speakers and do not include a built-in amplifier, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. They must be connected to a suitable stereo amplifier using speaker cable (sold separately).

Clear, Space-Filling Outdoor Sound

The larger 6.5-inch woofer makes the QI65EW well suited to medium and larger outdoor seating or entertaining areas where smaller outdoor speakers may struggle to provide sufficient coverage.

Its 80Hz lower frequency response provides clean and controlled mid-bass, but it is not designed to reproduce deep sub-bass. Customers wanting powerful, low-frequency impact outdoors should consider adding a suitable outdoor subwoofer.

Built for Indoor & Outdoor Use

A tough UV-resistant ABS enclosure and aluminium grille help protect the speaker against normal outdoor exposure. This makes the QI65EW suitable for permanent installation in gardens, patios and other outdoor areas, as well as humid indoor environments.

The speakers are weatherproof rather than submersible. They should not be installed where they could sit in standing water or be exposed to pressure washing. Where possible, mounting beneath an eave or in a partially sheltered position will provide additional protection and help maximise service life.

Amplifier & Cable Requirements

The QI65EW requires a compatible amplifier rated to drive 8Ω passive speakers. Q Acoustics recommends amplifier power between 15W and 80W per channel.

Each speaker requires a two-core speaker cable running back to the amplifier. For outdoor installations, use a suitable water and UV-resistant outdoor speaker cable. Amplifiers, speaker cable and connectors are not included unless purchased separately as part of a system bundle.
